PRP treatment or platelet-rich plasma treatment is a helpful therapy for many health problems, such as hair loss, wound healing, scar treatment together with rejuvenation of the skin. It consists of two elements: plasma, or the liquid portion of blood, and platelets, a type of blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body. Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area.

Platelet-rich plasma is simply blood that contains more platelets than normal together with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor (TGF) and other bioactive proteins that help in the rejuvenation of skin.

PRP is injected into targeted areas of the face and then forms an environment which helps in growing collagen, regenerates the tissues and makes your skin smooth and tight. PRP softens wrinkles and creates skin texture and tone that is smoother, younger and better.

The most common side effects of PRP therapy are injection site pain, swelling, redness and pinpoint bleeding. Vulnerable patients may also see some bruising. Recovery though is very fast and you can return to your daily activities within few days.

Price for one session is 200 euros for the face and 350 for the face and neck

Although platelet-rich plasma treatment is best used for patients with androgenic alopecia, which is a genetically determined type of hair thinning that typically occurs along the top of the head, anyone experiencing hair loss is essentially a good candidate for PRP treatments. Especially those with early hair loss tend to respond best.

Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the individual patient's response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months.

Each session will cost 200 euro.
